| The basic requirements for the teaching of English courses in primary schools(pilot study)point out that according to the physical,mental and learning characteristics of primary school students,primary school English teaching should create a teaching model based on activity classes and make full use of teaching resources.By listening,doing,speaking,singing,playing,and acting,students can achieve the teaching effect of "teaching and enjoying" in a pleasant classroom atmosphere,and change the teaching model of simple listening and reading texts in traditional English teaching.We will fully stimulate the interest of primary school students in learning English,encourage students to actively participate,express themselves boldly,and cultivate students’ ability to communicate in language.Therefore,the game teaching method comes into being.The game teaching method can improve students ’interest in English learning and improve students’ English learning results.In recent years,the game teaching method has been favored by the majority of English teachers.However,the development of the game teaching method in primary English classroom in rural areas is not optimistic.The main reasons for this situation are: lack of teachers in rural areas,and lack of professional primary school English teachers,teachers although recognizing the game teaching method,but little is known about the theory of game teaching methods.And in the actual classroom teaching,English teachers in rural areas can not correctly use the game teaching method;In addition to the relatively isolated atmosphere in rural areas,there are very few opportunities for English teachers to go out,resulting in a very difficult advancement of game teaching methods in the English classroom in rural primary schools.The article mainly takes Weifang High-tech Zone Gangcheng Modern School,Zhuojing School,Qingping School as examples,based on the previous researches on game teaching methods and primary school English teaching,in order to improve the enthusiasm of primary school students in rural primary school to learn English.Promoting the application of game teaching method in English teaching in rural primary schools.This paper aims to solve the following problems:(1)Which game forms are suitable for primary school English classes in rural areas?(2)Can the game teaching method effectively improve the students’ interests and achievements in English learning in rural areas?(3)What are the difficulties in popularizing game teaching method in rural areas? How to promote the application of game teaching inprimary school English classroom in rural areas?This paper adopts the method of questionnaire survey,qualitative and quantitative comprehensive analysis,and selects one class in Gangcheng Modern School and in Zhuojing School each.This paper takes class 4 grade 4 in Gangcheng Modern School as experimental classes,and implements a six-month game teaching method.But class 4 grade 4 in Zhuojing School(control classes)still use the traditional teaching methods,and then used the previous questionnaire and the same set of examination papers to test the two classes,through the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the resulting data,the main research were found as following:1.Through the research on the game teaching method of the predecessors and their own induction and arrangement,a set of game teaching method teaching process and English classroom game library suitable for primary school English classroom in rural areas has been formed.2.Through the questionnaire of students and teachers,it is found that teachers and children in rural areas are more recognized on the game teaching method,and think that the game teaching method can effectively improve learning interest.Through the test results of the experimental class and the control class,it is found that the game teaching method can effectively improve the English learning performance of students in rural areas.3.Through the investigation and research,it is found that due to the lack of teachers in rural areas,the lack of professional primary school English teachers,and teachers have little knowledge of the theory of game teaching method,coupled with the low quality of parents in rural areas,the promotion of game teaching method in rural primary school English classroom is very difficult.In short,this study shows that the promotion of the game teaching method in primary school English classroom in rural areas is helpful to improve the interest of primary school students in rural areas and improve their English learning performance.This study not only enriched the theory of English classroom teaching in rural primary schools,but also played a great role in the reform of English curriculum teaching in primary schools under the new curriculum standards. |
