Research On The Postmodern Expression Of The Experimental Documentary "Those Things In History"

Since its birth,postmodernism has become a pluralistic integration of social phenomena,cultural atmosphere and cultural context.Film and television art,as the most popular medium of information exchange and dissemination under the current background,plays the role as an indispensable part of mass entertainment.At the same time,with the rise of Internet culture,this kind of cultural exclusive reception aesthetics has been continuously developed and explored in the audience group of film and television art.Based on this relevance,we can perceive the appearance of post-modernism attribute in new media film and television in the Internet age.According to the aesthetic characteristics and demands of reception of the online audience,and taking post-modernist culture as its innovative basis,the Internet new media producers have produced a series of experimental documentaries represented by Historical vents.This kind of documentary adopts a creative concept,which is the integration of “historical truth” and“post-modernism”,so as to explore the difference,innovation and breakthrough between this kind of documentary and the traditional ones in terms of creative concept,expression and so on.In the process of integration and interaction between experimental documentary and post-modern culture,the traditional documentary creation theory has been unable to interpret and analyze the current situation and characteristics of documentary creation.Therefore,this paper will take the experimental documentary which contains postmodernist culture as the research object,and explore the aesthetic characteristics of postmodernist culture through the analysis of the experimental documentary: Historical vents with a view to form a theoretical and practical guidance for the subsequent creation of experimental documentary.From the perspective of post-modernist cultural theory,and on the basis of a comprehensive understanding and interpretation of “what is post-modernist theory”,this paper further studies the relationship between Historical vents and “post-modernism” by using the research methods of content analysis,induction,case analysis,reasoning and deductive reasoning.In the“introduction” part of the paper,in-depth explanation and interpretation have been made to its research background,status,significance and innovation,and Historical vents is summarized from the view of postmodernism.Among the three chapters of this paper,the third chapter is entitled “the post-modern narrative expression of Historical vents”,and this chapter analyzes,studies and interprets the characteristics of postmodernism from the narrative level of the works in terms of “grotesque narration”,“detail handling method of parody” and “the deconstruction of historical time and space”.The content of the fourth chapter is about “the mirrored expression of postmodernism inHistorical vents”,which focuses on the analysis from the perspective of formal characteristic of aesthetic.It is dissected and interpreted from two aspects: the image expression of “form” and the voice expression of “sound”.The fifth chapter analyzes and studies the experimental documentaries represented by Historical vents from the point of view of “post-modernist cultural expression and creative thinking”.A comprehensive analysis is made from the perspective of“cultural expression” and “audience psychology” in order to figure out the creative problems of experimental documentaries in the current environment and help put forward some coping strategies which are useful to the creation of follow-up experimental documentaries.
