Social anxiety refers to the anxiety, discomfort, fear, intentional avoidance of social situations, and fear of negative evaluation that individuals show in social situations(Watson & Friend,1969).Clark and Wells ' cognitive model of social phobia shows that individuals with social anxiety have a large number of automatic thoughts after entering social situations, and these automatic thoughts are derogatory, which is derived from the negative core beliefs(Stopa & Clark,2000).This automatic thoughts affects individuals to make negative self-evaluations and affects the existence of negative bias in meta-perception,thereby affecting the accuracy of meta-perception of individuals. In order to further verify the rationality of this theory, and to explore the conditions and influencing factors of the deviation of the meta-perceptual accuracy of social anxiety individuals. This study set up three situational experiments, and gradually carried out the research topic. The first study aims to explore the differences in the accuracy of meta-perception among individuals with different levels of social anxiety. This study guide subjects to make self-evaluation,other-evaluation and meta-evaluation of the same trait in a real social environment, and measure the accuracy of meta-perception by the degree of difference between other-evaluation and meta-evaluation score. The results found that(1)compared with individuals with high levels of social anxiety, individuals with lower levels of social anxiety had higher meta-perceptual accuracy.(2)The differences in the degree of meta-perception accuracy of individuals with different levels of social anxiety exist in meta-perceptions of traits related to social anxiety, but no significant differences were found in general personality traits and emotional traits. The second study added the threat of social situations as a variable, aiming to explore the accuracy of meta-perception of subjects with different levels of social anxiety in different threat situations. The results found that(1)The accuracy of meta-perception of individuals with high levels of social anxiety was significantly lower than that of individuals with low levels of social anxiety.(2)Individuals' the accuracy of meta-perception in the high-threat social scenarios is significantly lower than in the low-threat social scenarios.(3)The accuracy of meta-perception of individuals with low levels of social anxiety in different threat situations has no significant difference, while the meta-perception accuracy of high-level individuals with social anxiety is significantly different in different threatening situations, and their meta-perception accuracy in high-threat social situations is significantly lower than that in low-threat situations. The illusion of transparency is a special metaperceptual accuracy bias. Some researchers believe that the illusion of transparency represents a more general characteristic of socially anxious individuals. In order to further explore the special meta-perception bias-the illusion of transparency among individuals with different levels of social anxiety in different threatening social situations.Study 3 uses the "lie recognition" paradigm to explore the transparency illusions of individuals with different levels of social anxiety in different threat scenarios. The research results find that:(1)Compared with social anxiety levels that are low Individuals, individuals with high levels of social anxiety have more obvious illusion of transparency;(2)Compared with low-threat social situations, participants have more obvious illusion of transparency in high-threat social situations;(3)Individuals with low levels of social anxiety have no significant difference in the illusion of transparency in different threatening situations, while individuals with high levels of social anxiety have significantly higher insights in the high-threatening social situation than in the low-threat situation.
