Literati's Friendship And "Sanyan" Narrative Research

Literati interaction,which has a great impact on the imperial examinations,officialdom and marriage,is an essential part of the daily life of literati.As a classic of Hua Ben(storytelling scripts),there are plenty of contents in San Yan(Stories Old and New,Stories to Caution the World and Stories to Awaken the World)to describe the literati interaction,which make it a unique volume for literati interaction.Meanwhile,literati interaction has profoundly affected the characterization,plot construction and theme in San Yan,and is a significant narrative element to Hua Ben.The "literati" and "interaction" themselves have also produced a wonderful fusion.Through literati interaction,the civil customs and life are closely combined with the elegant life of literati,showing San Yan's unique status in novel history.San Yan is the key point in the transformation of ancient novels from performance to script.Therefore,in the literati interaction of San Yan,the fusion of civil discourse and literati discourse show us a special perspective to study the evolution of ancient novels.This paper is divided into three parts,which respectively discuss the influence of literati interaction on the characterization,plot structure,and the main theme of San Yan.The main contents are as follows:In the first chapter,this paper discusses the influence of literati interaction on characterization.In San Yan,the characterization of many literati is often linked to interpersonal communication and presented in various interactions.When narrating,Feng Menglong often describes the literati's language and actions through their interactions to show character's features and depict their images step by step,and let readers accept and understand these characters gradually during the development of plots.This chapter mainly explores the influence of literati interaction in San Yan on the revealing,strengthening,and highlighting of character personalities,as well as presenting the complexity and changes of character personalities.For novel narrating,it provides more conveniences and opportunities for character characterization by writing characters among the network of relationships.In the second chapter,this paper discusses the influence of literati interaction on plots structure.Regardless of the positive or negative assistance the literati interaction generates,it will trigger corresponding plots,and then generate the driving force to change the destiny of the literati.That's the"novelty" created by the novel coming from.Besides,with the emergence of new interactions and relationships,the existing plot deadlocks will be broken,and the inherent plot dilemmas will be relieved,creating multiple possibilities for the author's plot construction.From a regional perspective,literati interaction is also closely related to the regional setting in the plots.In the plots involving literati interaction,on one hand,the region has the feature of centralization,such as hometown,the capital of country and residence.They are all the regions that are written intensively.On the other hand,the region also has the feature of mobility.The construction of plots often develops with the regions related to literati interaction.Through the writing of literati interaction in different regions,more complex plots appear.In the third chapter,this paper discusses the influence of literati interaction on the theme.Feng holds completely different attitudes towards the gentlemen,civilian and profitable interaction,which are presented through the novel.In the meantime,the literati interaction stories written in San Yan have clear meanings on exhortation and education.Comparing with the novel's original scripts,Feng advocates and praises the gentleman's interaction by using the tests of time,interests,life and death.And the writing of daily interpersonal communication shows the customs and appearance of worldly interaction,reflects social reality,and makes a slight irony.However,Feng expresses his ridicule to the literati interaction with interests first in the imperial examinations,officialdom and marriage.These works can not only form a subtle connection with Feng's own interaction,but also show Feng's ideal interaction and his exhortation to people.
