Education is the cornerstone of national development.Revitalization and development of the countryside rely on the excellent talents cultivated by rural education.As people pay attention to rural education issues,documentary creators have begun to reflect on rural education through documentaries.The rural education subject documentary shows the realistic problems faced by rural education in a realistic and objective wayThe name of the documentary is "The Last Semester of Rural Primary School".It films a rural primary school,which is about to be closed.The name of the school is Zhuzhuang Primary School.Zhuzhuang Primary School is located in Xiaoyi Township,Guanyun County,Jiangsu Province.It was founded in 1952.It has had its own glory days.By 2418,there were only 2 classes left in the school and there were only 12 students left in the school(6 in the first grade and 6 in the second grade).The documentary shows the existing dilemma faced by Zhuzhuang Primary School.The dilemma is the infrastructure dilemma,the teachers dilemma and the students dilemma.The dilemma presented by the documentary is a microcosm of rural education.The documentary reflects the educational equity of rural students and the gap between urban and rural education.It also praises the dedication of rural teachersThis article explains the creation of the documentary.This article combines the theory of film narratology to analyze the documentary.It reflects on some of the problems in the narration of the rural education documentary.This article is divided into six parts.It includes the introduction,analysis of the subject and the determination of the narrative theme,the spatio-temporal logic of narration and the creation of scripts,the design of narrative strategies,the use of storytelling narrative techniques,narrative reflection.The introduction mainly expounds the research background and research significance,the research summary,an overview of the documentary and innovation points.The first chapter analyzes the subject and narrative theme of the documentary.The second chapter discusses the narrative spatio-temporal logic and scripts of the documentary.It combines scripts to analyze narrative time logic and narrative space logic.The third chapter explains the strategic design of the narration in the early stage of the documentary production.The documentary draws on the record concept of "Direct Cinema"and"Truth Cinema".The narrative language in the early stage of the documentary production is constructed by the vision language and the paralanguage.The author analyzes the vision language from the use of the scene,the use of the head-up shooting angle,the fixed shot for objective recording,the aerial shot and the scenery shot.The narrative perspective includes omniscient perspective and limited perspective.(zero focalization+intemal focalization).The fourth chapter explains the use of storytelling techniques in the late stage of the documentary production.The storytelling narrative skills of the documentary are explored from four dimensions.They are the organization of the plot,the performance of the drama conflict,the suspense setting,the use of voiceover.The fifth chapter is a reflection on the narration of the rural education documentary.The rural education documentary should pay attention to multiple presentations.It should use a variety of audio and visual elements.It should be presented in a realistic and objective manner.
