This paper mainly studies the image of prostitutes in The Golden Lotus.The Golden Lotus is the representative works of ancient Chinese literature to novels,because it involves the load line description,and other aspects of culture,has been found in banned books.But no one can deny that The Golden Lotus deeply exposures the ugly human nature and the darkness of society in Ming dynasty.Therefore,the study of The Golden Lotus is very indispensable.This article from the numerous and complicated characters in The Golden Lotus finds the special prostitute group,to discuss this group living environment,combine the historical data analysis of the Ming dynasty with novels,the analysis of the typical image of prostitutes in The Golden Lotus,and to inquire into the relationship between family and prostitutes in the Ming dynasty.Preface mainly explains the research object of this paper is to explore the image of prostitutes in The Golden Lotus,and define the concept of prostitutes.Chapter One is to study the prostitute system in Ming dynasty.We summarize five point by consult historical data and books,and the five points also can be found in The Golden Lotus.Chapter Two is to analyze the prostitutes image of The Golden Lotus.This chapter mainly analyzes the typical prostitutes in The Golden Lotus.which contains the official Li Guijie prostitutes and other special prostitutes.Chapter Three is to discuss the relationship between prostitutes and family in The Golden Lotus.We will explore the prostitute families and the member of prostitutes families.In the prostitute families,there is t blood relationship and business alliance.The relations between the prostitute and the feudal family,is an object with the west door celebrate home,prostitutes to recognize a nominal foster daughter and other phenomena between prostitutes and families.Chapter Four expounded the sociocultural reflection form a prostitute's point of view.Firstly,we should see the prosperity of Ming dynasty's commerce,brothels and wine shops and other shops cooperate with each other,formed a strong economic union,this is good for the economy.But it also contributed to buying and selling of women in folk.
