The ever-changing new media has changed the lives of everyone and subverted the way traditional media are disseminated.Public art education institutions such as museums and art galleries are also actively seeking changes,using artificial intelligence,VR and other new media technologies to better convey art knowledge to the public,enrich the public spiritual life,and improve the public’s artistic accomplishment.Due to the short-lived rise of China’s new media public art education institutions,some publics still lack the awareness of accepting art knowledge under the new media,and the development of public art education in China is relatively slow.However,with the promulgation of national regulations,the maturity and popularity of new media technologies,and the increasing popularity and openness of public art education institutions,more and more members of the public are consciously accepting art education in the new media environment.Public art education in China still has a long way to go and requires the efforts of the government,public art education institutions and every public.
