| Theoretical research on Chinese ethnic and folk dance cannot be separated from practical summarization.From this perspective,the author summed up experience from her performance of the original work At Time of Sunset and provoke understanding and thought on dancer’s adaptive response in Chinese ethnic and folk dance performance,to provide valuable inspiration for theoretical research on Chinese ethnic and folk dance performance.The difficulty of dance performance lies in its "fleeting" character,where the performance process cannot be reproduced.That is the unique charm that dance exudes.It is observed that,the dancer,through all over the performance,psychologically adapt to himself or herself and to the environment,and mediate with his or her dynamic body response,presenting freedom of physical and psychological transformation from long-term training,stress response in accidental circumstance,as well remedial actions derived from his or her experience.It is supposed that,"adaptive response" is an important and even necessary performance skill for a dancer,and also a recessive reference benchmark for a dancer with mature stage performance capacity.This research makes analysis on the general phenomenon in Chinese ethnic and folk dance performance,demonstrated with the case of the author’s original work At Time of Sunset.It comprises of four parts.In the first part,the "adaptive response" in dance performance is defined to prescribe the research context;in the second part,analysis is made on forming factors of "adaptive response" in Chinese ethnic and folk dance performance;in the third part,the original work as an example to demonstration;and the last part,gives the author’s inspirations on "adaptive response" in Chinese ethnic and folk dance performance. |
