The literature and art movement of Shan-Gan-Ning Border Region during the Anti-Japanese War has important historical and practical significance. As a representative of cultural organizations in the Shan-Gan-Ning Border Region,Yan’an Branch of Anti-Japanese Association of Chinese Literary and Art Circles participated in the construction of the new democratic culture of the Communist Party of China. Its development context is closely related to the social and political process. In the historical development, the culture of the border area has evolved from the initial prosperity to the standardization and institutionalization.Yan’an cultural tradition has not been interrupted since the end of the Anti-Japanese War,it forms a set of model experiences that show a broader and lasting impact. This article returns to the historical scene of the cultural movement in the Shan-Gan-Ning Border Region during the Anti-Japanese War,taking the development of Chinese literature and art in the 20th century as the background. This paper studies the historical characteristics and current influence of the literary and art movements in the border areas, and sorts out the development fate of the organizations such as Yan’an Branch of Anti-Japanese Association of Chinese Literary and Art Circles.Exploring the role of political parties, community organizations, and intellectuals in the cultural movement.Discuss the experience of cultural movements and historical significance. The article will be studied from the following sections. The first chapter studies the practice of new-democratic culture and the beginning of literature and art in the Shan-Gan-Ning Border Region. In the construction of culture, the alliance between literature and art and politics is necessary and historical. The Communist Party of China has recruited a large number of talents and youths and created a free and relaxed atmosphere to respect intellectuals. It is a period of prosperous and diverse cultural construction.Yan’an Branch of Anti-Japanese Association of Chinese Literary and Art Circles and other organizations were established at this time, organized cultural activities, edited and published journals, and organized street art activities, uniting cultural workers in the border areas and building the anti-Japanese united front.Although these organizations do not have group claims, they have the sense of the overall situation, agree with that literature and art for Anti-Japanese War.The cultural atmosphere and practice of the border areas before 1942,personalized literary ideas turn to characteristic collective discourse. The second chapter discusses the forms of cultural activities in the Shan-Gan-Ning Border Region. From 1942 to 1944,the cultural activities led by the Communist Party of China had two forms:collective meetings and community organizations. After the rectification movement, the collective meeting replaced the organization and became the main form of the cultural movement.Since Anti-Japanese War entered the stage of strategic stalemate. The Chinese Communist Party began to develop cultural construction, and it is necessary to open an ideological education movement to consolidate authority, establish normativeness, and guarantee loyalty.Yan’an Literature and Art Symposium was held, and the thought, politics, and organization of the border areas gradually became unified. The political atmosphere is getting tighter, cultural organizations and literary groups have been reorganized.Intellectuals have accepted ideological reform because they consciously identify or benefit from disadvantages.Writers went to the countryside,Yan’an Branch of Anti-Japanese Association of Chinese Literary and Art Circles and other groups stopped their activities. In 1944,the Communist Party of China convened a cultural and educational congress to reflect on cultural work, summed up experience, the cultural movement entered a new stage. After the end of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945,the literary and artistic work group of Yan’an Branch of Anti-Japanese Association of Chinese Literary and Art Circles went to the Liberated Area. The third chapter discusses the deepening of Yan’an literary thought after 1945,innovatively sums up the model and experience of the cultural movement in the border area, and explores its current significance.Although he left the Shan-Gan-Ning Border Region, cultural workers spread their experience to a wider area.In this sense, after 1945,Yan’an literary thoughts were not interrupted, but they were further deepened. The experience and patterns formed in the cultural movement have always affected. From the work experience of uniting intellectuals, intellectuals accept the leadership of the Communist Party of China not only because of political authority, but also because they want to participate in national salvation.Judging from the work experience of uniting the masses,"educating the masses" and "popularization" cannot be completely divided in the cultural movement. When "popularization" and "educational masses" are combined, the political talents are accepted by the people, and the cultural movements can be successed. From the perspective of organization, the "meeting" played an important role in cultural activities, promoted the transition and development of the Chinese social movement, and guided the ideological and cultural trends of an era.Different individuals got directional and organizational guidance in the meeting, and finally achieved the effect of coordinating their opinions and unifying their thoughts. The literature and art in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region is an important part of Chinese literature and art in the 20th century. It provides experience and tradition and still has the major impact on the current literary and artistic construction.
