The Research On The External Cultural Exchanges Of The Shaan-Gan-Ning Border Region During The Anti-Japanese War

After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the Shaan-Gan-Ning border region government, under the leadership of the central committee of the communist party of China, was expanding its political influence in the border region with the increasingly serious situation both inside and outside. In order to effectively improve the national consciousness of the whole people to Anti-Japanese War, to build and consolidate the anti-japanese democratic regime and to establish the worldwide anti-fascist united front, it is an urgent need for the Shaan-Gan-Ning border region government to develop cultural exchanges with other countries. Thus, under the guidance of the New-Democracy culture platform the border region government formulated a series of the policies of opening to the outside world to mobilize Anti-Japanese War and established the external liaison organization and cultural academic exchange group. They strengthened communication through the related organizations of the Chinese communist party in Kuo Min Tang (KMT)-controlled area and overseas, which attracted a large number of cultural figures at home and abroad to visit the border region and raised a hot wave of cultural exchanges. During the process of culture exchanges, the border region government invited Chinese and foreign journalists and writers to visit border region, encouraged Chinese and foreign experts scholars and the groups to work and communicate in the border region. They also compiled and published foreign political and literature classics and the books of leaders leaders of the Communist Party of China and enhanced the cultural exchanges activities including foreign literature, art and religious cultural exchange, which had obtained the huge achievement. The cultural exchanges of border region presents the characteristics of unity of the openness and the principle, clear actionable goals of work directions and unidirectionality due to the special environment of Anti-Japanese War.During the period of Anti-Japanese War, the governments of Shaan-Gan-Ning border region has a history of outstanding achievement to enhance culture exchanges. Firstly, they made great contribution to strive for the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. Secondly, they showed good spirit of the communist party of China. Thirdly, they promoted the development of new cultural undertakings in the border regions. Finally, they provided the experience reference to the culture exchanges of new China. Therefore, it has very important value and significances to investigate cultural exchanges of border region.On the basis of a large number of relevant historical literature materials, this paper aims to systematically carding and summarize the work, analyze the historical background, describe the form and content and sum up the characteristics of cultural exchanges in the Shaan-Gan-Ning border region through document analysis method during the Anti-Japanese War. Finally, the important historical significance is discussed in this paper, which try to bring history alive objectively so as to provide certain reference for contemporary Chinese diplomatic work.
