Research On Folk Custom Narration In Gu Hua's Novels

In the history of contemporary literature in China,the creation of Hunan writer Gu Hua has a unique style and distinctive personality,and is an very important writer for contemporary literary circles.His writing style is fresh,grim and humorous,which attracts readers deeply.The acadenic circles tend to affirm the era and the complex humanity of the excavation that Gu Hua’s works showed.Gu Hua’s depiction of the southern Hunan regional environment and the folk customs makes the novel are of a strong regional color and regional cultural atmosphere,which shows the unique artistic charn of Gu Hua’s novels.Gu Hua created a series of novels with the characteristics of southern Hunan,which is not only reflected in the theme,but also in the narrative aspect.Among then,The Folklore is an important part of Gu Hua’s creation,and it is also the focus of the thesis.Therefore,this thesis takes the Folklore narrative of Gu Hua’s novels as the research object.This article is divided into four parts to discuss the folklore of Gu Hua’s novels.The introductory part of the thesis first explains the reasons and significance of studying Gu Hua.Secondly,it summarizes the research status of Gu Hua’ novels and explains the feasibility of its research;Finally,the content,methods and innovations of the research are elaborated.The first chapter of the thesis is divided into two sections and is about the formation and presentation of the folklore consciousness of Gu Hua’s.The first section discusses the formation of Gu Hua’s folklore consciousness,which is mainly discussed from the personal experiences and the influence of Huxiang culture.The second section discusses the presentation of Gu Hua’s folklore consciousness,which is mainly presented in two aspects:one is the folk scenery and the other is the folk customs.Meanwhile,the writing of folk customs is also manifested in three aspects:material folklore,social folklore and spiritual folklore.The second chapter of the thesis discusses the connotation and significance of the folklore narrative of Gu Hua’s novels.It is divided into three sections.The first section explores Gu Hua’s thinking about culture,one is the fall of folk culture,and the other is to keep watch of folk culture.The second section explores thinkings about life,one is to pursue the spiritual homeland,and the other is to perceive and praise humanity.The third section explores the reflection on social history,one is to reflect on history,such as the "Cultural Revolution",and the other is the conflict and integration of tradition and modernity.The third chapter discusses the construction and aesthetic characteristics of folklore narrative in Gu Hua’s novels.It is divided into two sections.The first section discusses the forms of folklore narratives,which are discussed from the scenes,plots,and images.The second section discusses the aesthetic characteristics of folklore narratives,which are discussed separately from regional,lyrical and tragic.In the literary creation,Gu Hua’s depiction about folk scenery and customs presents a unique regional style.The combination of folklore and narrative into the novel not only adds to the richness of the novel’s meaning,but also increases the thickness and depth of the novel.The thesis interprets the richness and complexity of Gu Hua’s novels as much as possible by studying the folklore narrative of Gu Hua’s novels.
