The Divine Body

Georges Bataille is one of the most important French thinkers in the 20 th century.This paper aims to sort out Bataille's body aesthetics thought and enrich the theor of modern body aesthetics.Firstly,this paper analyzes the theoretical premise of Bataille's body aesthetics thought,namely the "three of the world",and analyzes the different manifestations of human beings from the animal world,the secular world and the sacred world.Secondly,the paper expounds the generating mechanism of the sacred body,that is,"how the animal body transforms into the sacred body",starting from the concept of "negation",the paper regards "desire" as the driving force of negative transformation of the body,and take "taboo" and "crossing the bound" as two ways of the conversion of the negative body.Finally,the paper discusses the generative state of the sacred body,namely "instant sovereignty",discusses the philosophical connotation of "instant sovereignty " from "nothing",and discusses the aesthetic presentation of "instant sovereignty ",that is "pornography".Georges Bataille's theory of thoughts not only shows that the body is meaningful,but also highlights why the body is meaningful,reveals the generation mechanism of the body's meaning from one side and deepen the theoretical construction of body aesthetics since Nietzsche.
