In recent years,with the increasing demand for high level spiritual culture,more and more people are willing to go to the museum where they are longing to have a special experience.This requires the museum’s manager are able to aware what the public need when they plan exhibitions,and fully consider the needs of different levels of audience rather than one-way information transfer as usual.Nowadays,there are not many targeted audience surveys on the painting and calligraphy exhibitions in art galleries,and the data and materials are very limited.In order to deal with these problems,this paper analyses 4 different exhibition: the "Tianhai Gaoshui Shuiyue Tsinghua-Kang Youwei Liang Qichao Calligraphy Exhibition" and "Thunder" to the Guangzhou Art Museum.Breaking--Liao Bingxiong’s Comic Works Exhibition in His Later Years,"Looking at the Ancient Ocean Searching Method--Guangzhou Art Museum,Yang Zhiguang’s Painting Exhibition","Guangzhou Animation Art 40 th Anniversary Achievement Exhibition-Animation New Era".The research are separated into two stage: carried out the audience performance record and questionnaire survey.Meanwhile it carried out detailed data analysis from six aspects: the basic composition of the audience,the duration and frequency of the visit,the knowledge reserve,the motivation of the exhibition,the demand for exhibition and the communication effect of the exhibition.Then,I will find the problems existing in the calligraphy and painting exhibitions of the art museums,and study the optimization of the art museums to display the communication effects based on the audience’s perspective.The aim is to provide more reference for the planning and exhibition planning of art museums.
