In recent years, under the background of the integration of eastern and western cultures, many artists began to constantly look for the convergence point between western oil painting and traditional Chinese aesthetics. At present,as a breakthrough point to break the shackles of traditional oil painting, the artistic expression of oil painting has attracted more and more attention from domestic artists. At the same time, the rise of artistic expression has also made the public feel the richness and uniqueness of contemporary Chinese oil painting. He duoling,a highly regarded painter in the contemporary art circle, has a personalized way of expression in the ideographic expression of oil painting, and has become a "poet" style, injecting more possibilities into the ideographic expression of oil painting. This paper probes into the ideographic expression of he duoling's oil painting language and how he USES "gray" language to show his unique "poetry".Most of his works are female images. In the research process, the author will explore the unique aesthetic way of his idealized expression from the female perspective. The first part analyzes the definition of "image" in the local context of China,as well as the differences between the painting styles with typical characteristics such as impressionistic and expressive oil painting and Chinese freehand brushwork. The second part takes his works as the starting point, analyzes the relationship between his oil painting language and the ideographic expression, and emphatically excavates his unique "poetic" feeling conveyed to the audience by his "gray" language. The third part is mainly based on the author's creative practice under the influence of he duoling's oil painting, and make a summary.
