Franz Liszt(1811-1886)is one of the most important composers and pianists in the Romantic period. As a composer,Liszt created a lot of works in his life, such as 19 Hungarian Rhapsodies and 13 Symphonic poems. As a pianist,Liszt developed his piano playing skills to the extreme and created an orchestral sound effect on the piano.Nineteen Hungarian Rhapsodies play an important role in Liszt's works. These works not only give full play to the composer's excellent piano skills, but also let people appreciate the Hungarian national customs,so they can last forever. This paper chooses the seventh Hungarian Rhapsody as the research object, and will discuss its characteristics in four chapters: Chapter 1,briefly introduces Liszt's life and the creative characteristics of his Rhapsody;Chapter 2,analyses the creative characteristics of the seventh Hungarian Rhapsody from two aspects of musical form and harmony characteristics;Chapter 3,discusses the work in detail in the light of the author's performance experience. The fourth chapter compares the versions played by the three piano masters,so as to realize the style and characteristics of different versions.
