Franz Liszt is one of the most iconic European romantic musicians in the 19 th century.As a masterpiece of Liszt's,Hungarian Rhapsody is a display of not only his rich and colorful piano skills but also his deep national emotion.The paper examines Hungarian Rhapsody No.10 from the perspective of Hungarian folk music style,composition techniques and performance processing.Trying to explore its unique artistic charm.The study contains four parts.The first part is the introduction that introduces the reason of the topic and the research status of Hungarian Rhapsody.The first chapter looks at Liszt's material and music style from two dimensions: the Hungarian national music and the term "rhapsody".Based on the theory of traditional composition techniques,the second chapter explores the composition techniques used by Liszt in Hungarian Rhapsody No.10 from the perspectives of musical structure,tonality,variation techniques etc.,to reach a better analysis of the piece.Then on the basis of Chapter Second,the third chapter moves further to the key techniques for performing the piece from multiple perspectives,so as to foreground the spiritual connotation of the work and shed light on its artistic excellence.
