The main purpose of this study is to investigate the actual situation of academic burnout and psychological capital of the third grade students in Geology Department of Y Vocational College,and then to explore the feasibility of using focus-solving group counseling to intervene in psychological capital and academic burnout of Vocational students.This study takes 257 students of a higher vocational college as the research object,and uses the Youth Psychological Capital Questionnaire and the Youth Learning Burnout Questionnaire to investigate the current situation.Three classes of convenience sampling were selected as the experimental group,and the other three classes were the control group,with 93 students each.The experimental design is a pre-test and post-test design for the experimental group and the control group.The group counseling program with self-designed focus-solving orientation is used to conduct eight focus-solving group counseling activities for the experimental group,while the control group is given a course of mental health education.The results show that there is no significant difference in the dimensions of academic burnout between the gender and the only student(p>0.05).There was no significant difference in low achievement among subjects from different habitats(p>0.05).The scores of urban subjects in physical and mental exhaustion and academic alienation were significantly higher than those of rural subjects(p<0.05).There was no significant difference in hope,self-confidence and resilience between the sexes(p>0.05),and the score of female was significantly higher than that of male in optimism(p<0.05).There was no significant difference in different dimensions of psychological capital between Y vocational college students with different residences and those with or without only students(p>0.05).There was no significant difference in resilience dimension between healthy subjects(p>0.05),but there was significant difference in hope,optimism and self-confidence(p<0.05).The scores of healthy subjects were significantly higher than those of normal subjects.Y Vocational College Third Grade Academic Burnout and the Overall Level of Psychological Capital have a lot of room to improve.After the intervention,the scores of academic burnout and psychological capital of the experimental group decreased significantly,the scores of psychological capital increased significantly.The focus-solving group counseling program developed by researchers according to the characteristics of higher vocational students can improve the psychological capital of Higher Vocational students,and reduce the level of academic burnout of Higher Vocational students.The counseling program is worthy of promotion by mental health educators in the work of psychological counseling for students. |
