Richard Strauss is one of the most important composers of the late German Romantic School, whose early works have typical characteristics of Romanticism.Richard Strauss’ s music writing, obviously influenced by the aesthetics appreciation of Brahms and Wagner deeply, shows his great passion and deep understanding of the tradition of German classical music. The studies of his works have always been the focus of academic attention, most of which focus on the singing of songs or music aesthetics, with little research on piano accompaniment of his early unnumbered artistic songs. The Song-Cycle Song of Love is one of Richard Strauss’ s early works, including three love songs,Red Rose,Revived Rose and Encounter, which were written in the Romantic period.Based on the approaches of sociology of music and music analysis, and from the perspective of piano art guidance, the author makes an analysis and study of the general situation of art songs,Richard Strauss and Song of Love, the harmony and form of this work, the execution of piano part and the integration of piano part and vocal part.In this way,the composer’s early style could be more accurately grasped, which will lead to a better understanding of the piano part of Richard Strauss’ s early art songs and the creative characteristics of vocal music singing part more comprehensively,so as to perfect the interpretation of this work, and express its profound literary and artistic connotations deeply.
