"Guan Zi" Economic Ethics Thought Research

Guan Zi,a classical work in the pre-Qin period,has a profound and extensive influence on many fields,such as ruling the country,economy,military affairs,society,ecology and so on.Influenced by the tendency of emphasizing justice and neglecting profit,thinkers in the pre-Qin period were often ashamed of saying interests,so there were not many economic thought works closely related to interests left behind,and Guan Zi had just become one of the rare ones.Regardless of the length of the article or the depth of thought,the system and completeness embodied in the economic thoughts in Guan Zi are absolutely great among the theories in the Pre-Qin Dynasty.In addition,the economic ethics thought permeated by it is more abundant and full.On the basis of grasping the basic purpose of the whole text,this paper tries to expound the economic ethics thought embodied in the book objectively and accurately.After introducing the reasons and significance of the topic,the current research situationat home and abroad,the research objectives and methods,innovation and deficiency,this paper analyzes the possible conditions for the emergence of the economic ethics thought from the social background and ideological background of that time,and explains the realistic background and theoretical source of its economic ethics thought:the need of stabilizing the regime of hegemony.The reasons for the development of the rich nation and the strong soldiers,the combination of multiple cultures and the absorption of Confucianism,Taoism and law in the contemporary era.As to the main content of the economic ethics thought,this paper tries to expound from the four links of economic activities.Under the overall guidance of the production of rich country and strong soldiers,Guan Zi regards the end of this and the tidiness as the concrete practical way to develop production,at the same time,the controller applies the kind of management of caring for the people and property in specific production details.For the exchange ethics thought,Guan Zi emphasizes on professional ethics standard of honesty and credit,the regulation function of the market and the corresponding exposition of the foreign trade ethics.As far as the distribution ethics is concerned,it also includes the distribution of resources and the distribution of the fruits of the desire of the people.Finally,in the thought of consumption ethics,it is the greatest ideological characteristic of Guan Zi,that is to say,while taking frugality consumption as the main consumption orientation,the consumption of luxury is regarded as the means of consumption regulation at the same time.On the basis of comparing with other theories of economic thought of the same period,this paper also summarizes four main characteristics of the economic ethics thought of Guan Zi:emphasizing the integration of economy and morality,advocating the unity of rich countries and rich people,affirming the moral value of agriculture and commerce,emphasizing the dialectical between frugality and luxury.In addition,at the end of the article is the objective evaluation of the economic ethics thought of Guan Zi and its modem enlightenment to the current economic development of our country.The evaluation is based on the positive and negative aspects.According to the previous comments,this paper expounds the status value and theoretical defects of the economic ethics thought in Guan Zi,while the modern enlightenment is based on the relationship between economy and morality,and the distribution is positive.In order to make a certain theoretical contribution to the construction of socialist modern economy in China,the requirements of the quality of honesty and credit,the viewpoint of righteousness,and economic ethics thought of Guan Zi.
