With a long history behind them, Islamic ethics and Confucian ethics are both extensive and profound. The ethical thoughts nurtured in the 2 great ethics, based on their rich connotations, abstruse deposition and lasting vitality, while showing their unique charms in this multinational and cross-cultural society of modern China, are faced with similar challenge. Only through mutual exchange, mutual communication and mutual consultation, can these 2 kinds of ethics draw upon from, complement, and co-exist with each other, so as to make concrete contribution to China's multicultural construction and the common progress of human civilization. Meanwhile, the economic elements in the 2 ethnical thoughts also represent the coordination of difference and uniformity, adding luster to each other mutually. So, the mutual integration and influence of them are of paramount realistic significance.It is no doubt that there is difference between Islamic economic ethics and Confucian economic ethics, what they focus on is different, thus showing disparity on their common ground. In this study, by means of historical material analysis and comparison, with historical materialism as the guidance, the predecessors'views were comparatively sorted out, inducted and summed up, in order to explore the economic ethics of these 2 splendid civilizations in a way characterized by seeking common ground while shelving differences. In conclusion, the disparity and integration of the 2 different economic ethics will surely be conductive to promoting our economic development. Beyond that, the economic ethics in this study means the basic religious values'impact on economic activity when people make important decision in particular, namely, economic thought and economic activity under the influence of religious ethics.In this sense, it concentrates not only on such factors as production, distribution and consumption, but also on non-economic aspects including society, ethic and morality, which accordingly distinguishes this research project from general economics researches and sociological surveys.This study is divided into several parts as followed:First of all, Confucian economic ethics and Islamic economic ethics were expounded respectively, in terms of their origin, evolution as well as features. Secondly, the meeting point of them was suggested, then, a little further, the similarities and differences were analyzed. Consequently, by contrast, the issues on similarities and differences between Confucian and Islamic economic ethics as well as their integration were discussed:learning each other's essence and overcoming weakness their inside on the basis of comparison, which will play a decisive role in promoting economy development in China. |
