A Study Of The Observation Methods Of The Personal Observational Documentary "Send To "Children From The Stars""

Observational documentary is a type of documentary that combines the concepts of"direct film" and "real film".Supported by these two ideas,the different ways of observation and intervention in observational documentaries have different influences on subjects and events.In order to record the truth,the author will choose the appropriate way of observation,shooting means,to show the subject of the record,which is the main problem to explore in this paper.At the same time,combined with the classic cases of contemporary observational documentaries,this paper analyzes what kind of observation method the author should choose in practice from the aspects of topic selection and observation intervention means,as well as how to highlight the subject and enhance the narration.In "to the child from the star",due to the particularity of the shooting topic,in the early stage of shooting,the object's instinctive resistance to the intervention of imaging equipment and other observation methods made it difficult to create the film.But it is precisely so that the author should adopt what kind of way to achieve observation.Therefore,through literature review,case analysis,and combined with their own creation,this paper will explore the practice of observation mode in the docunentary.
