Abstract/Summary:
The theory of human nature is the cornerstone of the Confucian philosophy of mind.The theory of human nature is the mainstream in the history of the Confucian theory of human nature,which has been a hot topic.Mencius’ theory of goodness in human nature marks the shift and transition of the mainstream values of Chinese culture from "human" in the group sense to "human" in the individual sense.As a result,individuals have received unprecedented attention.Under the background of cultural exchange between east and west in the 20 th century,the theory of goodness interpretation and new progress was made,which represented by Mou Zongsan,Xu Fuguan,Tang Junyi has made a deeply discussion on the theory of good nature,and has brought forth new ideas in the research path and significance,which has provided new ideas for the later research and interpretation of the theory of good nature.In particular,they stand on the peak of the era when China and the west are combined and integrated.In such a special era,it is inevitable that they hold a specific view on the interpretation of the theory of goodness of nature,which reveals different ways of thinking,methods of interpretation and effects of interpretation.Tang Junyi made a comprehensive understanding and interpretation of the human nature thought of China.He put the human nature thought of China in the context of the whole Chinese philosophy research,especially compared mencius’ human nature thought with those of Gaozi and Xunzi,thus grasping the unique features of mencius’ human nature good thought.In his opinion,mencius’ "nature of mind and speech" surpassed the tradition of "nature of life and speech",and he further explored the specific connotation of mencius’ "nature and speech" on "the birth of the heart",creating new theories.Only by the nature of the mind can we establish the essence of human beings and determine the fact that human beings are moral beings.The debate between mencius and xun zi’s theory of human nature,Mr.Tang said mencius and Xunzi’s not on the human nature,but in the heart,and in this way,in the mencius "the heart say" there "is born of the heart" in speech is virtue that embodies the sorting out the theory of human nature,mou zong3 believes that there are two approaches to the discussion of sex in the authentic Confucianism in Chinese history: one is "nature is the mandate of heaven",which is represented by "the mean" and "yi zhuan",also known as "the approach of the universe".One is the approach represented by mencius,which insists that benevolence,justice,propriety and wisdom lie in the mind,that is,the mind theory,which can be called the "moral approach".The two directions challenge the chengshuo of the long-established tradition in history,and hold that the way of the doctrine of the mean and mencius are different,but this consistent way of thinking is very important for refining and deepening the understanding of the ideological difference between zi si and mencius.Xu Fuguan’s interpretation of the theory of good nature is different from that of xiong shili,mou zongsan and tang junyi,who are keen on the construction of metaphysics.In the theory of human nature in history,Mr Xu praise highly the theory of human nature from the pre-qin scholars to investigate,they were thought of propositions based on the theory of human nature,this awareness has a root,once formed,penetrate into every aspect of human activities can relate to,everything will turn human nature began to affect a person’s own ideas and activities.In a word,through the interpretation of Tang Junyi,Mou Zongsan and Xu Fuguan’s theory of goodness in nature,it can be found that their interpretation studies have common essential characteristics.They attach importance to the fundamental role of cultural value in the historical development and deeply consider the social realistic problems by the root of cultural value.Can be said to be a basic feature of the interpretation of the good nature theory.As the representative figures of modern neo-confucianism,Tang Junyi,Mou Zongsan and Xu Fuguan,based on this characteristic,hold one side of it in the development of Chinese and western history.
