As one of the basic and main contents of writing teaching in our country,writingcontent pointing to style also occupies a very important position in the teaching materials of mother-tongue courses all over the world.The basic framework of writing teaching in modern primary and secondary schools in China is accomplished on the basis of drawing lessons from Western stylistic classification.Therefore,in view of the current Chinese writing teaching materials in the stylistic knowledge and the corresponding presentation of various issues,think about the preparation of stylistic knowledge in foreign writing teaching materials,can provide a clear and effective direction for the reform of writing materials in China.Taking the textbook of<American Literature> published by China Women’s press as the research object,this paper makes a statistical analysis on the compilation of stylistic knowledge elements such as writing purpose,reader type and writing form under the background of combing the origin and use of Western stylistic knowledge.This paper summarizes the design characteristics of the teaching materialand based on the empirical research,puts forward the corresponding thinking and suggestions according to the evaluation framework such as the <Writing 2011 National Assessment of Educational Progress>.After analysis,we found that the writing design of <American Literature> teaching material is centered on communicative purpose,the writing task has certain reader consciousness,the writing form is rich,in the presentation form takes the practice mainly,the various forms,these embody is the clear and the professional stylistic knowledge concept.The study also found that there are still some shortcomings in the writing design of <American Literature>,such as the weak system of stylistic training and the low number of writing tasks for real readers.All the above advantages and disadvantages can provide enlightenment and thinking for the construction of stylistic knowledge system adapted to the actual writing teaching in China.
