Chinese idioms not only vividly express Chinese people’s thoughts and way of thinking,but also convey profound cultural implications.Moreover,talking about Chinese animal idioms and Russian animal idioms,they are not identical in cultural meaning even have great differences.Therefore,Russian students,studying Chinese language make a lot of errors and mistakes using Chinese animal idioms.The master dissertation consists of four basic parts,they are introduction,comparative analysis of Chinese and Russian animal idioms,including classification and describing some structural,grammatical,semantic differences of Chinese and Russian animal idioms,analysis of the results of the questionnaire among Russian students with the purpose of finding some typical errors in acquiring Chinese animal idioms and predicting the reasons of them,analysis of methods of teaching Chinese animal idioms to Russian students and suggesting some other techniques in teaching Chinese idioms and some useful methods of self-learning.The introduction part mostly presents the purpose and scientific value of the research and points out some explanations to the research methods.The second part is a comparative analysis of Chinese and Russian animal idioms.It mainly analyzes and classifies Chinese and Russian idioms composed of different animal species and compares the cultural meanings and implication of Chinese and Russian animal idioms.The third part focuses on the teaching and learning strategies of Chinese animal idioms particularly to the Russian learners.The questionnaire survey method is used to analyze the investigation of Russian learners’ acquisition and analyze the types of errors that Russian learners make during the process of learning nd using Chinese animal idioms.In the fourth part,the author gives some suggestions and some helpful techniques and methods for Russian leaners to minimize the difficulties of learning Chinese animal idioms.According to some weaknesses of teaching Chinese animal idioms,the author suggests some teaching methods and principles based on association ideas,cultural contrast methods and demonstration methods to help Russian learners easily and successfully acquire this specific part of Chinese vocabulary.
