Research On Yan Fu's Xinmin Thought

Under the crisis of the genocide in the modern China,Yan Fu provided a new project for the revival of the nation from the spiritual level of the human being,criticizing the spiritual poisons of the feudal traditional culture,spreading the biological evolution theory and social organic theory to enlighten the citizens,putting forward the mission of the new people.This paper make more systemic arrangement about the new people's thoughts from Yan Fu's political thoughts,economic thoughts and educational thoughts,evaluates the historical significance and limitations of Yan Fu's new people's thoughts,and enlightens the national quality construction in the new era of socialism.The first chapter mainly introduces the background and academic significance of this paper,the research of yan fu's new people's thought from the domestic and foreign situation currently,as well as the research ideas and methods of this paper.The second chapter demonstrates the reasons for Yan Fuxin's thoughts from three perspectives.Firstiy,the objective historical background,which mainly discusses the national crisis and the failure of reform in the modern era,and the evaluation of the Chinese nation in the West.Secondly,the theory origin,Yan Fu received systematic Western education in the UK and accepted the advanced ideas of the West.Thirdly,Yan Fu compares the different cultures between China and the West and makes an in-depth comparison in politics,economy and education between China and the West.The third chapter begins with three aspects of Yan Fuxin's thoughts.From the politics aspect,first of all,it criticizes the oppression of the feudal autocratic ruling system on the national politics,and then raises the national politics through the new people's from the concept of civil rights,the freedom of thought and speech,the right to participate and discuss in politics,improve female's social status,legal consciousness,and family-country feelings.From the apect of the economy,criticizing the feudal rulers' control over the economy,advocating laissez-faire economic development,cultivating the concepts of the people from the new "righteousness and benefit" and consumption;From the education aspect,criticizing the feudal rulers to use education to control the citizens' mind,making people liberated from the feudal ethics,and through the quality education to educate the power of people,the wisdom of people,the morality of people,and improve the comprehensive quality of the people from the all aspects.The fourth chapter gives an objective evaluation of Yan Fu's new people's thoughts and the contemporary enlightenment of new people's thoughts.In the new era of socialism,it guides the national scientific concept of justice and benefit,the quality education of young people,and it has important practical implications in promoteing the literacy of the traditional culture of the citizens.
