From ancient times to the present, people always have a sense of reverence and worship for nature, which is an eternal topic in artistic creation. With the renewal of science and technology, bionics began to permeate sociology, pedagogy, design and other disciplines, promoting the integration of disciplines and internal development.Because of the visual attributes of visual communication design discipline itself, the focus of research from the bionic perspective mostly falls on the simulation of natural surface form.In the research scope of bionics, internal function and external form together constitute the core bionic elements. Therefore, this paper collects more than50 cases at home and abroad, starting from the perspective of biology and bionics, taking bionic design as the main scope of discussion, trying to cut into visual communication design from a new perspective, analyzing the design with more bionic consciousness in this field, and sums up more suitable methods to this era,so as to convey information more efficiently. The main contents are shown in four aspects: The first part is the definition of the concept, combing out the concepts and basic research contents from bionics to bionics, then to bionic design,so as to sort out the vein system of visual bionics. In the second part, from the perspective of biology, the bionic design cases of other disciplines are deeply analyzed to provide conditions for the generation of visual bionics. The third part makes case analysis and method induction of visual bionics from six aspects: biological function, life characteristics, structure, organization, color and shape. In the fourth part, the visual bionics is analyzed and summarized. At the same time, the method is used to verify the theory with the design practice.
