The Study On Laws Of Bionic Design In The Foreign Modern Furniture Field

Bionic designs of furniture have been developed greatly in last century, and you could always find bionic form furniture in all kinds of design awards. Furniture design in our country are not a patch on international advanced level. It's a doable way to improve the level of furniture design in our country that we study in foreign bionic form works.This study is aimed at law of bionic design in furniture field. First, Author have tidied up the development of bionic form furniture, and made classes form both furniture and bionics angles. Then, author tried to collect all bionic form furniture from Art Nouveau on, classified them, do statistical research and analyses. Finally, had compared with laws of bionic design in existence, author took out the law of bionic design in furniture field.Accordingly, it's most important characteristic of this thesis that conclusions are founded firmly on existing bionic form furniture. Author analyzed 264 pieces of bionic form furniture with SPSS, and summed up the developing trend of bionic form furniture in aspects of prototype, dynamic, integrality and abstractness. The center of prototype had turned to human and animal from plant, and concentrated on human obviously. At the same time, the width of prototype had broadened. Designer had noticed more type of creature. The percents of dynamic bionic design and integral bionic design had increased. The abstractness of bionic design had followed a route that start from representational to abstract and back to metaphorical (a phase between representational and abstract). And more concretely rule about rules of bionic design in furniture.Author hoped this thesis could be helpful to advance our design level in furniture.
