"Taishan Yi" Research

The Dongyue(Mount Tai)belief is an important part of ancient Chinese religious culture.The new Taishanyi(The Ritual Text of Sacrificing Mount Tai,???)is a new material for the study of the Dongyue belief.On the basis of introducing the existing edition of Taishanyi,this paper probes into its text structure,core content and function.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the main body of the article is divided into three parts.The first part is about the introduction of the preservation of Taishanyi,the second part is about the ritual procedure,function,God and the time of its completion.The third part is about the discussion of the Dongyue belief of Taishanyi.The article focuses on two aspects: first,through collating and proofreading the text of Taishanyi,we can establish a comprehensive understanding of it and clarify the content structure of the article;second,through the study of the core content of Taishanyi,we can explore the Dongyue belief contained in it.This paper mainly puts forward the following conclusions:Firstly,there are 27 copies of Taishanyi that collected at present,it mainly from Guizhou and Sichuan.The time of copying is mainly from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China.Secondly,by comparing the transcripts of the known ritual procedures,it is determined that the Taishanyi consists of seven parts: opening the altar and inviting the gods,giving the animals to gods,asking for god's forgiveness,praise the merits of the light,giving the cooked food to gods,sacrifice the Tai-bao,sending the gods home.The invitation gods are categorized and sorted out,which mainly includes four categories: the Wuyue Emperor and his queen,the Yuefu family and kings,the Wuyue ministry and the Yangyuan Zhenzai.Through the relevant words of the ceremony and the names of the gods of Dongyue,we can see that the function of Taishanyi is mainly to reward the wishes.Through the study of the changes in the text of the Dongyue Emperor,it is determined that the completion time of Taishanyi is the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty.Thirdly,By comparing Taishanyi with the judges of Taoist classics and Dongyue Temple in Beijing and Songli Mountain Temple,we can see that they are basically the same.The significant differences between them are mainly reflected in the fact that the judges of Taoist classics and Dongyue Temple in Beijing and Songli Mountain Temple did not involve the two functions of "making a vow" and "vow returning".The main function of Taishanyi is "rewarding gratitude and wishing",through this can reflect the uniqueness of Taishanyi.Fourthly,there are The twelve Taibao" in Taishanyi and The ten Taibao in Tao Zang.The twelve Taibao in Taishanyi and The ten Taibao in Tao Zang are similar,but they are much different than the same.The function of "rewarding gratitude and wishing" is the core of Taishanyi,and it is also an added content of Taishanyi compared with the books collected in Tao Zang.At present,it has not been seen that there is an inevitable connection between the function of Taishanyi and the classics collected in Tao Zang.
