A Report On The Translation Of The Short Story "Nobody Goes To Die Because Of Love"

This thesis is a translation report based on the translation of Korean writer Lee Chae-hyun's novel Nobody died because of love.Because of this novel,writer Lee won the 2016 Korean New Year Literary Grand Prix Fiction Department Award.The character of the novel is distinct,but the emotions are subtel.So how to accurately convey the thoughts and feelings of the characters is the difficulty of translation.The translator try best to be faithful to the original text while using kinds of translation strategies and techniques.It is hope to improve the understanding of Korean and the expression skills through this translation practice.The repprt consists of four chapters.Chapter 1 introduces writer and her work and describes the purpose and value of this translation.Chapter 2 introduces the translation process and the theory translator referred to.Chapter 3 dicusses the strategies and methods used in translation,including novel's title,words and sentences.Chapter 4 summarizes the experiences and problems which gained through the translation process.
