On The Decorativeness Of Chinese Meticulous Figure Painting

Chinese painting has a very profound historical heritage.The early pottery patterns of the Stone Age,the Western Zhou Dynasty paintings and the Han Dynasty portrait stone portrait bricks,or later the fine works of the Tang,Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,all witnessed the gradual improvement and prosperity in Chinese painting art.The decorativeness in Chinese painting which is different from other paintings is not only the spiritual temperament of Chinese culture and the tempering and condensing of national spirit,but also the basic language of Chinese painting aesthetic concept and the unique charm of Chinese painting art.Meticulous figure painting,an important branch of Chinese meticulous painting,mainly includes the depiction of various characters.The decorativeness in Meticulous figure painting is always an important expression element not only during the historical evolution and the inheritance of traditional meticulous figure painting but also during the inheritance and development of modern meticulous figure paintings.For thousands of years,it has been integrated into traditional Chinese ideology and culture,and continuously enriched and innovated under the efforts of numerous outstanding art creators of the dynasties,forming the unique artistic language and aesthetic taste of Chinese meticulous figure paintings.This paper analyzed and studied the decorativeness of meticulous figure painting from its embodiment in tradition and modernity from three chapters.The first chapter included the definition of decorative concept and the connection between Chinese meticulous figure painting and decorativeness.In the second chapter,the aesthetic characteristics of the decorativeness in meticulous figure painting were explored from basic painting language such as composition,modeling and coloring.In the third chapter,from the perspective of the contrast between traditional and modern meticulous figure paintings and the paintings of traditional Chinese paintings,and the phenomenon of the meticulous figure painting drawing on the characteristics of other national paintings in the contemporary,we analyzed the influence of Western painting and Japanese ukiyoe on the performance of decorativeness of Chinese meticulous figure paintings.Then,from the perspective of time,culture and emotion,we further discussed the connection between the transformation meticulous figure painting from traditional to modern and the transformation and demand of the public aesthetic consciousness.Based on the decorative nature,this paper attempts to explore the status quo and development direction of decorativeness of the meticulous figure painting through a comprehensive discussion on the development in decorativeness of the meticulous figure painting and its aesthetic characteristics.By this work,we look forward to find the connection point not only life and art but also expression form and aesthetic emotion,and more importantly,to clarify the true beauty of the decorative beauty of Chinese meticulous figure paintings and the significance of contemporary inheritance and development.
