In recent years,image publicity films have been used by various organizations and units to promote their own image.Modern people who are engaged in publicity,make the public recognize that the image characteristics of the image subject and perceive the soul of the image subject in image reading through cross-platform compound communication of media.This is an optimization strategy aiming at its own public opinion environment,and also a means to change the public perception ideologically.The image publicity films need not to completely conform to the reality for the representation of the image subject.The image publicity films encode the real environment with technical codes,spreads the image in the form of symbols,and infuses ideology and propaganda intention of the propagators into it.Image publicity films have great symbolic power.They use image language to convey attitudes and express meanings,and hide the opinions they want to express under symbols,so as to achieve some kind of invisible idea dissemination and indoctrination.The image itself contains the super potential of being transformed,which makes the image publicity films become a beneficial participant in the construction of ideology successfully.Through the construction of the image,the image publicity films completed the definition of the real world and become the construction tool of ideology.Firstly,the paper discusses that the image publicity films is the construction tool of ideology,This section introduces the image propaganda film as a tool of mass communication and discusses that the communication of image propaganda film is a mass communication activity.The second section introduces media function of image publicity films under the view of criticism.Based on Stuart Hall's theory of "School of cultural studies",this paper discusses the media function of image publicity films in the construction of ideology from a cultural studies perspective,and demonstrates the efforts of image publicity films in the construction of reality and social consensus.In the third section,based on some cases of image publicity videos,introduces the fact that image publicity films have been involved in ideological construction for a long time,and further verifies the function of image publicity filmss as an ideological construction tool.The second chapter discusses four externalization forms of the media function of image publicity films in the construction of ideology under different occasions,namely,economic trafficking,political lobbying,spiritual domestication and cohesion of internal fields.These four externalization forms of the media function are the concrete embodiment of the image publicity films' participation in the construction of social ideology.The third chapter cites a large number of real cases of image publicity films,discusses the specific manifestation of image publicity films participating in ideological construction,and analyzes how image publicity films use mature narrative techniques to realize the ideological construction and opinion infusion of the audience.Finally,the conclusion summarizes the whole thesis,explain logical relationship of four externalization forms of the media function.By avoiding the opposing positions of the audience,The image publicity films ensure the realization of media functions and reduce the potential negative publicity effects.Skilled producers of image publicity films produce more and more high-quality works,the signs of propaganda have been greatly diminished.The media function of the image publicity films have been brought into full play.The makers of image publicity films are producing more and more high-quality image publicity films.But no matter how superior the skill,how novel the technique,the utilitarian attribute of image publicity films participating in ideological construction will not change.
