| News discourse,as a non-literary mass discourse,has attracted much attention from linguists,especially those in discourse analysis.News discourse analysis main focus on two aspects.One aspect is the form feature in news discourse,the other one is ideology embedded in news discourse which closely relates with news discourse.The aim of news discourse is to reveal the relationship between discourse and ideology.Previous studies generally analyze the language itself or the news discourse structure,or pay attention to the different media's researches on the same events or topic and ideology reflected in news discourse.As an interdisciplinary research,linguistics,journalism and cross-cultural communication are involved in this research.Based on Van Dijk's news discourse analysis theory.This study combine qualitative and quantitative research methods.Taking Xinjiang's first key website for international publicity Tianshan website as subject,this study chose 30 pieces of news reviews to analyze the linguistic structure of news discourse in text and context perspectives and probe the ideology reflected in news discourse.The major findings can be listed as follows: firstly,in the text perspective,news establish the macrostructure and microstructure by propositions.Secondly,in the context perspective,including style and rhetorical structure,style pay attention to the expression of impersonality.News on Tianshan website seldom use the first person pronoun and the number of active sentence is larger than passive sentence.Therefore,it can guarantee the objectivity,authenticity of news.While for theme,it mainly focus on the politics and economy news,and pay little attention to the culture,science and technology,society,livelihood and literature and art,etc.As the rhetorical structure,amount of quotation and authentic figure enhance the objectivity,authenticity of news.What's more,the source of quotation mainly from authorities and participants guarantee the authority of news.Besides,the news primarily cite form the most authoritative news websites China Daily and Xinhuanet.Thirdly,the ideology on Tianshan website is mainly emphasize on positive behavior or nature on Xinjiang or China.What's more,they don't emphasize the negative behavior or nature or de-emphasize the positive behavior or nature on others.By this way,Tianshan website spread the positive behavior or nature on Xinjiang and China for the international publicity.The main significance of this study lies in two aspects.Theoretically,it has been proved that Van Dijk's news discourse analysis can be used to analyze the network news discourse effectively.Meanwhile,it can enrich the study on news discourse on international publicity from network.By analyzing the features of news discourse on Tianshan website,this study provides more methods and materials for the study on news discourse on international publicity from network.Practically,this study can reveal the efficiency of international publicity in news discourse on Tianshan website. |
