Investigation And Research On The Status Quo Of Chinese Character Teaching In Our Lady Of Blessing School In Thailand

Since China and Thailand formally established diplomatic relations in 1975,to learn the Chinese language in Thailand,especially in primary and secondary schools,has been paid more and more attention.Through the practice and observation of teaching Chinese as the second language in Thailand in the past 10 months,I have made a field survey of the current situation of Chinese character teaching in the Maripitaksuksa School.I have made a more comprehensive and specific analysis and survey on the teachers’ classroom teaching,the students’ Chinese character homework exercises and errors,the arrangement of teaching materials and the setting of Chinese character classes in the school.Through statistical analysis,I have found some problems such as Chinese lessons are few,the teachers’ teaching methods are sometimes boring,the students’ attitude towards Chinese character learning is not very positive,and the current Chinese character teaching materials are not very scientific.Through investigation and research,several suggestions for improvement of schools and teachers are put forward.It is hoped that through the investigation and study of this article,concrete and feasible Chinese character teaching strategies can be provided for the Maripitaksuksa School,and some references and lessons can be provided for Chinese character teaching in Thailand.
