Research On The Jade Image In Poems Of Late Tang Dynasty

The study of poetry in the late Tang Dynasty was a relatively weak link in the study of literature in the Tang Dynasty,the eyes of the researchers were mostly concentrated in the High Tang dynasty.Since the new era,literary research broadens the horizon under the new theoretical considerations,and literary research is no longer limited to the content and form of works,the turning point in the study of poetry in the late Tang Dynasty also appeared.In recent years,the research results of Tang poetry imagery are quite fruitful,but most of the scholars' eyes are concentrated in the High Tang Dynasty.There are not many writings about the imagery of poetry in the Late Tang Dynasty.As a more common image in poetry,jade is involved in the study of poetry imagery in the past,but the special research on the image of the Late Tang poetry has not yet appeared.Therefore,based on the previous studies,proceeding from the jade image in poems of the Late Tang dynasty,this paper classifies the jade image in poems of the Late Tang dynasty and interprets the unique characteristics of the jade image therein.To sum up,this paper consists of the following five sections:Section 1: Introduction.This section mainly expounds on the research status of the jade image,and points out research purpose and significance of this paper.Section 2 or Chapter 1: Evolution of jade image from the material image to the connotation image.This section consists of two parts.To start with,functions of jade ware unearthed from the prehistorical period to the Tang dynasty are examined,and the records about jade in the pre-Tang books are summarized to gain a deep understanding of the jade's cultural attributes.In the second part,the jade image in poems of different periods before the Late Tang dynasty is analyzed,and the evolution of jade image from the material image to the connotation image is discussed in great detail.Section 3 or Chapter 2: Classification and construction of jade image in poems of the Late Tang dynasty.First of all,jade images in poems of the Late Tang dynasty are statistically analyzed,and divided into the jade image and politics,jade image and immortal Daoism,and other jade images.Following that the construction and presentation forms of the jade image in the Late Tang poems are summarized.Moreover,on the basis of the former discussions,overall characteristics of the jade image in the Late Tang poems are summarized,the characteristics of the image of the late Tang poetry are divided into two points: one is to digest the sadness,and the other is to be ridiculous and ironic.Section 4 or Chapter 3: Case study of the jade image in the Late Tang poems.The first section discusses the characteristics of the jade imagery in Li Shangyin's poetry,and the role of jade imagery in the creation of desolate artistic conception in Li Shangyin's Poems.The second section analyzes the characteristics of the gorgeous jade imagery in Wen Tingyun's poems and the influence of jade imagery on the formation of beautiful and decadent style in Wen Tingyun's poetry.Section 5: Conclusions.This section sums up the jade image classification of the Late Tang poems,and elaborates on the characteristics and influence of the jade image in poems of the Late Tang dynasty.
