Analysis Of The Female Images In The National Dance Drama "Confucius"

Confucius,a large-scale national dance drama produced by the Chinese Opera and Dance Theatre,is composed of "Questioning","Chaotic Times","Great Food","Great Harmony","Benevolence and Death" and "Music".It aims to show Confucius' s life experience of traveling around the world,his pursuit of sacred ideals,his spiritual characteristics and personality charm,and to create an artistic character.The image of Confucius.The establishment and expression of the female image in this play serves to shape the vivid image of Confucius.It has certain cultural,artistic and unique characteristics.This paper demonstrates the choice,shaping and performance characteristics of female images in dance plays through the analysis of dance segments such as "incense","Wei-gathering","Jade Man" and "Tangdi Flower" from three aspects: role setting,expression mode and artistic characteristics.It provides a reference for the creation and performance of women's image in national dance drama.
