The Contemporary Nature Of Antonio Lopez Garcia's Painting Language And My Creative Practice

In the context of contemporary art in which new media and technologies express concepts,easel painting has also been revived by means of contemporary expression.The concrete expression is still the mainstream of contemporary easel painting,and it has realized the contemporary change in language and content.Antonio Lopez Garcia(hereinafter referred to as Lopez)is a typical contemporary figurative painter.Throughout Lopez’s artistic career,on the one hand,he chose to stick to realism and learn from natural and ancient masters;On the other hand,it also absorbs and draws on the elements of mainstream art to form a very contemporary style of figurative painting.This article explores the contemporary nature of Lopez’s painting language from the experimental aspects of Lopez’s art language,the uniqueness of his personal experience,and the expression of "time" in his works.Specifically explores the relationship between Lopez’s painting and sculpture and Lopez’s unique painting method of transferring the installation art to a two-dimensional plane.Lopez has a unique perspective on objects.He can always find the truth behind things that are not easy to detect.The time traces and "unfinished nature" displayed in his works well express the paradox of time.Lopez is like a Pathfinder,giving enlightenment to the majority of graphic painters.I learned and borrowed from Lopez.I have boldly carried out a series of creative practices in terms of creative ideas,realistic techniques,"material sense" and "time",which have greatly improved my artistic cultivation and creative level.And the real sense of contemporary figurative painting has the vitality and the practical significance of existence.
