The author taught in Bhavana Bodhigun Vocational College,a new-style vocational college in Thailand,since June,2018.There are two Chinese courses in this college,that are basic Chinese course mainly and business Chinese as an auxiliary.Such a business Chinese–led teaching method is ground-breaking,creative and revolutionary during the Chinese teaching history in Thailand vocational colleges.When teaching,I find that there exist some issues,and this research is thereby conducted to give forward-looking suggestions for business Chinese teaching in Thailand vocational collegesThis paper is divided into five parts.The introduction of this paper introduces the research background,meanings,and related research conditions,contents and methods.Chapter 1expounds the basic circumstance of Bhavana Bodhigun Vocational College.On the one hand,it introduces the general situation of this school.On the other hand,it introduces the business Chinese course planning in this school.Chapter 2 introduces the investigation on the business Chinese teaching in Bhavana Bodhigun Vocational College.The investigation includes the questionnaire and interview surveys on the learning and application situations of students learning business Chinese in Bhavana Bodhigun Vocational College,as well as the interview with teachers.According to the investigation,data statistics and analysis are conducted.Chapter 3 gives the questionnaire and interview survey results.I analyze and summarize the key issues of business Chinese teaching in Bhavana Bodhigun Vocational College from the perspectives of teacher,student,textbook and practice.Including the quality of teachers themselves is not high enough,teaching content is not clear enough,teaching method is not scientific enough;The learning strategies of students are not appropriate,attitude is not positive,motivation is not clear;The number of textbooks is small and the types are not rich enough;The teaching material content slant old,the specialty is not strong enough;In the social practice,the existing problems are put forward from students,teachers and the school.Chapter 4 provides the suggestions for the future development of business Chinese teaching in Bhavana Bodhigun Vocational College based on the issues identified and predecessors' research results as well as teaching practice.In terms of teachers,teachers should improve their own quality and ability in all aspects,pay attention to the special teaching content of business Chinese,and use scientific and reasonable teaching methods.In terms of students,it is suggested that students should choose appropriate learning strategies,maintain a positive learning attitude and stimulate learning motivation.In terms of textbooks writing,we advocate the compilation of professional textbooks suitable for vocational education and practical textbooks with local characteristics of Thailand.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions from both teachers and the school.
