Variety show is a popular video program form,with the function of relaxing the audience,killing time and edutainment.Variety show was originally broadcast on the TV platform.In 2007,Dapeng Show was broadcast exclusively on Sohu video,opening up the domestic market of variety show by network.However,it was not until the first season of Let's Talk launched on iQIYI video in 2014 that the variety show by network market was exploded.The market is expanding rapidly,and the number of programs,clicks,production cost,hot topic and audience number are rapidly increasing.In the process of meeting the mass's entertainment needs,variety show by network have reflected and raised many ethical issues.The industry of variety show by network develops rapidly,and the variety show by network has huge communication and influence,therefore,it is of great significance to pay attention to and properly deal with relevant ethical issues,for the healthy development of the industry and the improvement of audience and social civilization.According to the limited materials the author obtains,at present,there are few foreign studies on variety show by network,however,those studies reflect on the thoughts and contents of TV variety shows from the perspectives of culture,politics and so on.Domestic studies of variety show by network,mainly from the perspective of communication,law and politics,focusing on the basic situation of variety show by network,or doing special study of creation,transmission,marketing strategy,host style,content,audience characteristics,intellectual property issues,public domain construction issues related to variety show by network.As for the research on the issues of variety show by network,previous studies mostly described and analyzed them as a part of the studies of basic situation of variety show by network,as a comparison,there are few monographic studies on the issues of variety show by network,and the latter focus on the bottleneck of development and communication ethics of variety show by network.This paper argues that the variety show by network involves a lot of ethical issues,which can be seen from three levels.At the medium level,which means the companies,the issues mainly involve the issues of value guidance,business honesty and justice,take partners as tools,copyright ethics and distribution justice;At the micro level,the issues involve the lack of moral capacity of corporate leaders,guests,employees,audiences and other subjects;At the macro level including the government and society,the issues involve the weak supervision of The National Radio and Television Administration(NRTA),the"lack of law"in the legal departments and the low efficiency of judicial procedures,the high tolerance of the public for immoral behaviors,and the media's loyalty to the market rather than the justice.These issues involve many aspects,such as economy,culture,law and communication,and they are closely related to ethics,in particular,to the business ethics.The behavior,norms as well as formulation and management of system of network variety companies regarded as economic agents and their stakeholders,make it necessary for researchers to treat them as business ethics issues from the theory and practice,and do special research on the ethical issues of variety show by network.This thesis uses the research framework,basic theory and research methods of business ethics,and makes use of research results of legal ethics and media ethics.It regards subjects' freedom and responsibility as the core idea,from three levels,medium,micro and macro,researching subjects' freedom and responsibility related to the ethical issues of variety show by network,analyzing the causes and norms,and trying to make systematic analysis of the ethical issues of variety show by network.The thesis selects Idol Producer as a typical case,in order to make a comparatively detailed research and analysis of the ethical issues.The thesis is divided into five chapters.The introduction introduces the research background,existing research results,research significance,research ideas and innovations.The first chapter introduces the basic situation of variety show by network,and promotes that the value of variety shows is centered on economic value,supported by ethical value,entertainment value,aesthetic value and cognitive value.The second,third,fourth,and fifth chapters are the main body of this paper,which analyzes the ethical issues of variety show by network companies,related agents of the companies as well as related system,social environment and management,and in the last,the paper promotes norms to solve these issues as a try.It is believed that as an ethical community,variety show by network companies are related to five types of ethical issues in the course of business,and they are:misplaced values,business dishonesty and injustice,regarding partners as tools,copyright dispute,and distributive injustice.The root cause of these issues is that-driven by economic interests,the company fails to properly handle the relationship between economic value and ethical value,and fails to implement the hypernorm of"combining economic benefits with social benefits" in the industry.Insufficient moral capacity of the subjects at the micro level as well as imperfect systems and management at the macro level,provide an opportunity for the emergence of the ethical issues of companies.In terms of solutions,the paper believes that as the main responsibility subject,companies should pursue the concept of integrity,fulfill the moral requirements beyond the lowest norms,take the industry hypernorm as the code of conduct,and consciously take more moral responsibilities.Subjects at the micro level should improve their moral capacity.The implementation of subjects,responsibilities at the macro level can promote the resolution of ethical issues at the medium and micro levels.In the process of analysis,the paper's main thought is:to determine who should be responsible for the issues,what responsibilities the subjects has,how and why the subjects ignore their responsibilities,how can we evaluate the phenomenon,whether there are corresponding ethical norms or not,what norms are lacking,what's the root of issues-breaking or lacking norms,and last,how should norms established.In this way,the thesis makes a systematic analysis of ethics issues of variety show by network.
