Liu Kun(271-318),also known as Yueshi,was born in WeiChang,ZhongShan(modern WuJi County,HeBei province).His was a politician,writer,musician and strategist in the Jin Dynasty and was also a descendant of Liu Sheng who was the Jingwang in Western Han.Lu Chen(284-351),who was also known as Zi Liang,was born in Zhuoxian,Fanyang which is now in Hebei Province.He was the great grandson of LuYu,grandson of LuTing and eldest son of LuZhi He was appointed as sikongzhubo,congshizhonglang,youzhoubiejia.After a while,he had a promotion of being shizhong,zhongshu.Liu Kun and Lu Chen had a friendly relationship because they both born in Hebei and were addicted to literature.Beside of this,they were relatives.Lu Chen was always agreed with Liu Kun's political views?They often communicated through letters and their literary styles were very similar.In Western Jin Dynasty,scholars paid attention to the rhetoric.However,there were some scholars paying more attention to the politics.They combined national peril and poetry.Liu Kun was one of them.He had an important influence on Du Fu who was a great poet in Chinese history.At this stage,the study of Liu Kun is very scarce.Today,I will gather the stories of Liu Kun,reorganize them and have a study on his poetries to find the relationship between him and Du Fu.Because Liu Kun had a very close friendship with Lu Chen,I will put them together.The study of Liu Kun's biography is not only one of the efficient way to learn more about him but also benefit to my academic research,I need to seek truth from facts,so I must read all of his original articles.First,based on the previous related papers,I will try my best to find the truth of Liu Kun from his family,his life and his literature.Explain issues that are controversial or unresolved.Second,explore the style of literary creations of Liu Kun and Lu Chen,There are four parts of this paper.First is significances of this topic,research reviews and the deficiency of research method.Second,I focus on the lives of Liu Kun and Lu Chen,also include their style of literature creations.Third,I take textual research spectrum their life,works and ideas and influences.Last,I summarize all of their literature works to a appendix.
