A Creation Report On The Use Of Derivative Patterns From The "Miao Ancient Songs" In Southeastern Guizhou In The "Sheng Sheng" Series Of Silk Scarves And Wall Hanging

Qiandongnan prefecture in the southeast Guizhou province,the biggest gathering place of Miao nationality in China,is the most prosperous and characteristic area of Miao culture.It not only preserves a large number of precious Miao culture but also becomes an important region that has a great impact on international communications.As a masterpiece of folk culture,Miao Ancient Songs,which handed down through oral instruction and rote memorization,is known all over the world.With the associated declaration of Taijiang county and Huangping county in Qiandongnan prefecture,the Miao Ancient Songs were successfully listed in the first national culture heritage protection list in 2006.It recorded the relevant contents of Miao nationality of years,such as development,culture,history,architecture,clothes and customs,etc.Meanwhile,it was an enduring epic and literary work handed down through the years.In the report of the“19th CPC National Congress” which recently successfully closed,General secretary Xi Jinping has made some new instructions and requirements of the creative transformation and innovative development of China's fine traditional culture in the new era.Combining with the national top-level design requirements and starting with Miao culture in Qiandongnan prefecture,this thesis attempts to make a systematic research by using the derivative patterns of Miao Ancient Songs as a breakthrough point.By applying a variety of modern art expressions form and technique to the creation of silk scarves and wall hangings in the “Sheng Sheng”series,this thesis hopes to promote the coordinated development of culture and economy in the minority regions as well as to realize the living inheritance and development of Miao culture.The details are as follows:The first part gives a general overview of the connotation and element of Miao Ancient Songs,including its cultural connotation and paraphrase of the pattern symbols.The second part analyzes the types of patterns derived from Miao AncientSongs,respectively are people,animals and nature.The third part puts forward the application idea of the derivative patterns of Miao Ancient Songs in art creation.The fourth part focuses on the creation process of works of “Sheng Sheng” series.In the end,this thesis will summarize the whole paper and put forward new prospects and assumptions of future research.
