Boris Akunin is one of the most popular writers in contemporary Russian literary circles,mainly his work are detective novels and combine dramatic works,such as "The seagull".Using postmodern techniques to deconstruct the classic and remodel it is one of the creative features of Akunin.Anton Pavlovich Chekhov,as a dramatic master of Russia,enjoying high reputation in the countries all over the world and his classic drama is an object of literary reproductions by many postmodern writers as a result of the depth of connotation and openness of intension."The seagull" is a popular drama of writer Boris Akunin.The classic plots and postmodern game features emerged in the works,which made it popular in the literary world.Akunin regarded Chekhov's classic drama "The seagull" as the female parent,by the meyhod of intertextuality for deconstruction and reshaping,incorporate into detective elements,the film elements,to make the new "The seagull" become a postmodern drama with detective color,which reflects the reality of human apathy,loss of mind,moral bankruptcy in the modern world,and attract the interests of scholars.?This article selected drama of Akunin "The seagull" as object,based on the intertextuality theory of Genette—— transtextual theory,from the three aspects of genre characteristics,space-time structure and symbol imagery to analyze the intertextual relationships between Chekhov and Akunin's dramas "The seagull".The study of Akunin's drama is not only a tribute to Chekhov's classic works,but also to the development trend of contemporary literature.In the new age of high-speed development,people need to interpret the classics,and the new form of creation can inspire the exploration of classic literatures,which is important to study the creation characteristics of Akunin and the creations influences of Chekhov on contemporary literature.This article consists of 4 chapters :In the first chapter,maily summarize the basic concepts and basic viewpoints of intertextuality,and analyze the systematic intertextuality theory of Genette,the five types of text referring to the transtextual theory.In the second chapter,we analyze the intertextual relationships between Akunin and Chekhov's "the seagull" of the genre,and find out the diversified writing styles of the two works.In the third chapter,from the perspective of spatio-temporal structure,we focuse on the intertextual sexual relations between Akunin and Chekhov's "the seagull" in the space of external space-time,reality and fantasy.In the fourth chapter,we discuss the symbolic image of "seagull" in the drama of Akunin and Chekhov,and the intertextual relationships between the characters and the theme.
