From sketching to creation, how can the sketching work be sublimated in the creation, and how to truly understand the artistic creation "from life,to return to life" instead of "behind the door".This is a problem that I have been trying to solve in the process of learning and creating.Sketching should not be a simple observation of objects, but requires a high degree of concentration to observe, analyze, and recognize the living objects.Painting is an artist expressing his understanding and understanding of "beauty."The process of creation needs to experience and reflect on life, and then convey it to the audience through refinement and sublimation. Both sketching and creation are inseparable from the experience and thinking of life.Only by making a deep understanding of the meaning of sketching and creation, and finding out the inextricable connections between sketching and creation through continuous practice, can we grasp the correct direction of the relationship between sketching and writing. This article uses my own sketching and creative practice as examples to explore the relationship between sketching and creation.Due to the multi-ethnic cultural learning environment of the Central University for Nationalities,I have repeatedly visited various sketches, investigations and researches in the ethnic minority areas, and encountered various obstacles and problems in the creative process as well as the thinking and resolution process. So the examples are relatively abundant. This article explores the relationship between sketching and creation through documentary imagery, field sketching, and my own creative experience. The first chapter mainly expounds the meaning of sketching. The second chapter analyzes the relationship between sketching and creation with my own sketching, creative experiences and works. The third chapter explores how sketches are organically combined with creation through my own understanding. And the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese painting.
