A Study Of Sheep Totems In Rock Paintings In Zhongwei, Ningxia

The rock paintings in ZhongWei area are a kind of graphic art carved into the rocks by the primitive nomadic people in NingXia.The most prevalent,filling more paintings mainly sheep totem,these sheep paintings by dot,line,face three form element combination collocation,is a kind of art symbol,but also convey the nomads living environment at that time,a valuable research value.It is an immortal rock art created by nomads living in NingXia.Although experienced the wind and rain of history and the erosion of years,but until now,it still flickers with vigorous vitality.Central area of rock shows the most ancient "the original language",although the form is simple,carved rough,but this is from the side expressed the central region of the original residents of the most simple and pure character,and simple way of life.Let us feel the indomitable life of the primitive people,containing rich meaning.Therefore,the content is simple.This paper analyzes and studies sheep totem's rock paintings in three chapters.In the first chapter,the geographical environment and production methods of rock paintings in ZhongWei area are summarized,and their geographical distribution and themes are analyzed.The research significance of sheep totem is also analyzed.The second chapter analyzes the expression,aesthetic features and artistic style of sheep totem in the original rock paintings in ZhongWei area.The third chapter is about the application of contemporary culture and art in primitive rock paintings in ZhongWei area.
