Elegance Like This-Pan Xiangli's Creation Theory

In the plural literary pattern after the 1990s,"female writing" is no double an eye-catching group while Pan Xiangli is a special one among them.As the "new generation" of the 1960s and 1970s,Pan Xiangli has avoided the wave of "alternative writing","body writing" and "personal writing".Different from Xu Kun and Chen Ran which show the presence of women with tough attitude.And different from Wei Hui and Mian Mian who exposing the body in a crazy way in theirs writing.Pan Xiangli’s writing absorbs the traditional Chinese cultural concepts and reconstruct the"ideal" personality of a modern woman.The combination characteristics of modern and traditional makes Pan Xiangli a unique writer in the field of feminine writing.This thesis evaluated her creation and explore her value in literary history which was divided into six aspects:"What is elegant","How to be elegant","What caused her grace","the limitations of grace" and other different dimensions.Chapter one mainly introduced Pan Xiangli’s life course and the course of literary creation,especially the transformation in her creation.Since the forepassed research of Pan’s novels and essays are not systematically,this thesis chose a new angles to fill the gap of the past research.Chapter two mainly discussed the unique literary quality.Unlike other writers of urban cultural,Pan Xiangli always refrained from all kinds of the hotspot in the contemporary literary world.Her novels are close to the urban life,which are full of dream、love、laughter and tears.In this chapter,It discussed the unique charm of her urban cultural writing from two aspects of material life and spiritual life.It showed"What is grace" by the adherence to classical feelings in Pan XiangLi’s words.The third chapter mainly discussed the artistic characteristics of Pan Xiangli’s literary creation.The "artistic conception","language style" and "writing skill" were taking as the entry point to prove her delicate and elegant aesthetic pursuit._In the fourth chapter,the factors that influence Pan’s creation was discussed.Such as the experience of leaving Japan,the family background and the editing status which are the reason for her elegance.But on the other hand,"her foundation limit her as well".Pan’s good education made her too "elegant",and her "idealism" made her unable to cope with the chaotic life.Although this is the limit of her life,but it’s also the sign of the imprint of her writing.The fifth chapter mainly discussed the unique significance of Pan’s writing.In the vertical coordinates of history,Pan made a lasting contribution as a boudoir.In the horizontal coordinates of the contemporary literary world,Pan’s elegant and traditional writing posture indicated the possibility of a clear and pure literary belief.The last chapter was the chronicle of Pan Xiangli’s writing life which was a complementary view of Pan’s creation,and it was a systematic review of her creation.
