Social well-being is a new idea for the study of well-being.It focuses on the connection between human experience and social background,and it is also an important criterion for measuring individual’s overall health.The sense of school community among college students is the psychological feelings and moods of the students in the school environment.A good sense of school community can promote the positive evaluation of college students,and actively and effectively respond to the various setbacks in the study and life,thereby improving the college students’ A sense of well-being,maintenance of mental health development.This study uses a combination of questionnaires and qualitative interviews to explore the relationship between the sense of community and social well-being in Chinese college students and examine the mediating mechanisms of self-efficacy and coping styles.The result is as follows:(1)In terms of demographic variables,there is a significant difference in the sense of school community at the grade level and no significant difference in other demographic variables.There is a significant difference in college students’ social well-being between grades and whether they are student leaders.There are no significant differences among other demographic variables.There was a significant difference in the degree of self-efficacy among college students at the grade level,and there was no significant difference among other demographic variables.There was a significant difference in the grades of active coping styles and negative coping styles among college students.In other demographic variables,there was no significant difference between the two coping styles.(2)The sense of community well-being of college students has a significant positive predictive effect on social well-being,self-efficacy and positive coping styles;self-efficacy and positive coping style have a significant positive predictive effect on social well-being;self-efficacy and positive Coping styles play a mediating role in the relationship between college students’ sense of community and social well-being.(3)Through qualitative interviews,we further found that the source of the school community sense can be divided into the class learning experience,class communication experience,class cohesion,teacher teaching attraction,campus interpersonal experience,campus learning and practice opportunities,and dormitory environment.The sense of the promotion of social well-being in school community sense is mainly reflected in three aspects: interpersonal promotion,education promotion and practice promotion.Finally,this study proposes suggestions on how to cultivate the sense of university community in college students.
