The 1930s was the most glorious period of Chinese cinema.While creating Chinese film myths,it also laid an important foundation for Chinese cinema.During this period,with the development of the film industry,movie celebrities became the center of public concern.Women dressed in their fashion and men used their appearance as the aesthetic standard.In the 1930s movie stars Ai Xia,Yan Lingyu,Mao Jianpei,Ye Juanjuan,and Xia Peizhen committed suicide.Even more,fans and spectators voluntarily went to pay their respects to the appearance and funeral.Especially after the death of Yan Lingyu,women died in suicide.In the collision between the ever-changing society and the feudal ideology,female celebrities committed suicide one after another and quickly caught the attention of newspapers,magazines and other media,becoming a sigh in the 1930s.This article focuses on the suicide reports of five female stars,Ai Xia,Yan Lingyu,Mao Jianpei,Xia Peizhen,and Ye Juanjuan,and conducts discourse analysis on their suicide reports.The media utterances discussed in this article include newspapers and magazines of the 1930s in China.The forms include pictures,texts,and literary creations derived from suicide.The content includes short commentaries,in-depth reports,prose,poetry,etc.Kind of information.Through the news discourse theory put forward by the Dutch scholar V.Dick,the discourse analysis of the female star suicide incident was analyzed.An analysis of the female celebrity suicide reports in the 1930s can be used to peek into how the Chinese media used discourse to construct social reality in the 1930s.Whether or not this kind of social reality constructed through media discourse includes the choice of ideology.There are four parts of the media discourse research on suicide reports of female celebrities in China in the 1930s.The first part is the introduction,which is the research reason,research significance,research summary,key concepts and theoretical basis.The second part is the agenda setting for the overall discourse of female celebrity suicide reports in the 1930s.This section sorted out,classified,and classified the basic situation of female celebrity suicide reports in the 1930s through the news icon in news discourse theory.The news structure and other analytical frameworks provide a macroscopic analysis of the vertical and horizontal landscape of the report,presenting the discourse structure of suicide reports by female celebrities in the 1930s,discourse themes,and the factors influencing the setting of the agenda in the 1930s in China.specialty.The third part is the strategic analysis of the suicidal sentences reported by female celebrities in the 1930s.It mainly analyzes the sentence and vocabulary categories in the report,analyzes the style,style and rhetoric of reports,and shows the female stars in the 30s.The details of suicidal reporting discourse.The fourth part deals with the discourse processing and social cognition of the female star suicide in the 1930s.It analyzes the 30-year female celebrity suicide in terms of the factors that influence discourse selection,the choice of discourse,and the ideology constructed by the discourse.How to use the media to construct the social reality when reporting,and what kind of social cognition is reflected from it.Among them,the recognition of gender identity,through the analysis of the contradiction of female identity in the 1930s,restored the social status of women in the 1930s;the cognition of the media,through the analysis of female stars and suicide,explored the 1930s.The value of female star celebrity suicidal reporting;the cognition of values including the female star's personal survival experience,economic status,and the public's psychological needs.Through analysis,it can be seen that during the suicide of Chinese female stars in the thirties of the PRC,when the media was constructing real events and social cognition,the reports,events,media,and society were continuously presented together.
