| From the pre-Qin period to the Song and Ming dynasties to the May Fourth Movement,Confucianism developed over thousands of years.In the multi-faceted ideology,Confucianism constantly experienced collision and integration,developed into a modern New-Confucian period,facing social turmoil and thoughts of internal and external problems.The crisis,the vitality of Confucianism emerged as a reflection of Chinese traditional culture.In the process of reassessing the values of Chinese traditional ideology and culture,Confucianism has also undergone a new baptism.This group of thinkers has been called“modern Confucianism.” As the leading figure of modern New-Confucianism,Liang Shuming’s academic ideology is concentrated on his Confucianism and Buddhism,and his uniqueness is revealed through the ideological character of “combining Confucianism with Buddhism”.This paper argues that Liang Shuming’s academic thought of "combining Confucianism and Buddhism" is integrated in his entire life.His thoughts,"Combining Confucianism and Buddhism," have experienced a complex course from Confucianism to Buddhism and then from Buddhism to Confucianism.He was called "The Last Confucianism" in his later years,but he himself said that he was a Buddha for a lifetime;Confucianism promoted "inside the saint outside the king",while Mr.Liang Shuming was "outside Confucianism Buddha." The study of Buddhism is Liang Shuming’s unremitting pursuit in his early years.The sense of responsibility for the name of Confucianism has turned him to Confucianism.He is a respectable Confucian and a lovely buddhist.What he pursues is the inner essence and soul of the two Confucianism and Buddhism.The generation,change,and development of his thought process is a special historical period and life experience.Constantly groping forward,in order to better complete the mission that history has given itself,to constantly surpass oneself and realize the value of life.The main content of this paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the formation of Liang Shuming’s Buddhist thought.It mainly starts with Liang Shuming’s family background and his early life,and explores his mental path of accepting Buddhism and his creation of the "Ultimate Judgment".Therefore,Liang Shuming’s opportunity to enter the teaching of Peking University was brought forward.The second part introduces the transformation of Liang Shuming from Buddhism thought to Confucianism.Under the influence of the crisis of Confucianism in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China,social order tended to collapse.Liang Shuming’s father,Liang Ji,was distressed at the end ofthe Qing dynasty and social chaos.Eventually he cast himself to the lake to express his aspirations;Liang Shuming,who taught at Peking University,faced an environment of academic freedom.It also gave birth to a strong heart,which has become the driving force for him to create "Eastern Culture and its Philosophy",and in the process to complete the transformation from Buddhism to Confucianism.The third part introduces Liang Shuming’s main ideological concepts for Confucianism and Buddhism.It mainly starts with the differences between Confucianism and Buddhism,and it also partly reflects the similarities between Confucianism and Buddhism.His views were summarized and refined into four aspects,namely,the origins of Confucianism and Buddhism,his entry into the world,his workmanship,and the comparison of bitterness and joy.From the above,he conducted a series of comparisons,explanations,and explanations of Confucianism and Buddhism.In the fourth part,Liang Shuming was introduced to the integration of the two families under the influence of Confucianism and Buddhism.In the pursuit of life,he always put the solution of people’s problems first,fulfilled his historical mission and realized his own intrinsic value. |
