Abstract/Summary:
"The River All Red,Hair on End"" is one of the words used by Yue Fei,a famous general who has been fought against the king country in the Southern Song Dynasty,to express his patriotic feelings.The song was composed by Taiwanese composer Huang Futang(A Tang)and became an art song with piano accompaniment.We often use in the study of vocal music,the ancient word " The River All Red " music version of the composer Yang Ying-liu,another version is by the composer A Tang.According to the composition structure of " The River All Red ",the art song of A Tang was composed into two parts: the upper and the lower parts,and the elements of folk music were incorporated into it.The music layout of the whole work is well designed by using western composing techniques.A Tang has played a certain role in the successful adaptation of this traditional word for the spread and promotion of traditional culture,and has made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese art song creation.Using rich composition techniques,and according to the rhyme of the lyrics,it describes the hero Yue Fei’s grief and indignation over the fall of his country’s land and his determination to fight against the enemy.This work embodies Yue Fei’s generosity and agitation.I was in graduate school when I happened to hear this song,and I was attracted by the beautiful melody and the heroic spirit of it,so I studied and sang the work in the concert.This paper mainly adopts the method of consulting literature and investigation and research,carries on the music image and the singing analysis to A Tang’s edition of " The River All Red ",summarizes the singing skill and the emotion,and can guide in the stage performance practice.I hope this can enhance my understanding of this art song,improve my emotional understanding of this song when singing it.
