College students' learning burnout and professional commitment have received much attention both in China and abroad.A good understanding of the situation of students' learning burnout and professional commitment can help teachers to guide students efficiently.In order to study the language majors' status quo of the learning burnout and professional commitment,the difference between groups of students,and the relationship between learning burnout and professional commitment,the researcher selected 301 language-majored students from School of Foreign Language of Tianjin Polytechnic University as the research participants.The researcher adapted the learning burnout questionnaire and professional commitment questionnaire designed by Professor Lian Rong et al.(2005),and analyzed the data with the help of SPSS Statistics 17.0.The research findings show that:(1)The status quo of learning bunout and professional commitment is at the medium level and there is some significant differences between groups of students.(2)There is a negative correlation between learning burnout and professional commitment.(3)The profssional commitment can predict the learning burnout in some exent.At last,the resea,rcher gave some pedagogical impplications according to the research findings,and pointed out the limitations of this study.
