At present,China is in a new era of deepening reform, and the cultivation of cultural self-confidence and artistic self-confidence has also received unprecedented attention. As the new force of the motherland's future, children need to be more innovative, more independent and more confident in the process of social progress and development.Latin dance,as a sports and art fusion sports event,is increasingly favored by parents and children. It has a wide range of styles. Each dance has a great difference in style and music. It can both exercise and increase self-confidence.It can also increase the children's performance ability,in line with children's physical and mental needs. In this study,30 Latin American 7-12-year-old dancers(girls, average age: 8.23 ± 1.33,average height 122.47 ± 9.01,mean body weight 25.32 ± 5.68)were co-ordinated through literature, experiments, and mathematical statistics. In the study of competence,30 female students(mean age8.17±1.33,average height 130.97±5.28,mean body weight 28.80±5.90)who have not undergone any dance training in the same age stage were selected to conduct comparative tests on coordination ability through the experimental group. With the data analysis of the general group, the effect of Latin dance training on the coordination ability of 7-12-year-old Latin dance practitioners is as follows:1.Latin dance training has given priority to the development of balance ability and lower limb transformation ability for 7-12 year olds, and other abilities have gradually increased.2.The Latin dance training has improved the response ability, balance ability, coherence ability, transformation ability and rhythm ability of 7-12 year old practitioners.3.The short-term Latin dance training has no significant effect on the children's response ability, coherence ability, upper limb transformation ability and rhythm ability.4.There was no spatial change at the beginning of the Latin dance training,so there was no significant change in the coordination ability of space rotation.5.The improvement of coordination ability requires long-term training accumulation, and it needs to be gradually developed in the system training. The short-term training has no obvious change in improving coordination ability.
